This is the debut album under the Isomer Transition moniker from producer RJ Valeo, delivering an expansive hypnotic exploration of dubby atmospheric techno, over a decade in the crafting.

Recorded between 2003 and 2017 on a variety of mediums (DAT, 16bit sound card, 20bit ADATs), these tunes have been selected and sequenced to create an introspective meditative journey. This is achieved by utilizing brain entrainment to induce altered states of consciousness.

Entrainment is achieved via sounds and rhythmic patterns repeating at alpha, beta, and theta wavelengths, the wavelengths of entrainment. This produces the 'drug-like' effects which vary from listener to listener. Sometimes it is body tingles and shocks, other times OOBEs (out of body experiences), very often resulting in states of the ecstatic or the hypnotic, and with certain individuals even CEVs (Closed Eye Visuals).

THE SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY BEHIND THE EXPERIENCE AND MUSIC

The sequence of the songs and the individual songs themselves are constructed with patterns and sounds that guide us deep into our quiet and peaceful mind allowing us to go deeper into ourselves than without the technology. The technology is called 'Brain Entrainment.

Extensive research shows that states of mind can be induced by 'synchronizing' the left and right half of the brain by exposing the listener to specific wavelengths. They don't need to know about it for it to work either, it's science, it's like that.

The BETA wavelength group, between 13-30 HZ. Sounds and rhythmic patterns pulse and repeat at these frequencies, creating entrainment This is where most conscious thought takes place, and where we start our journey, over and over again.

The ALPHA wavelength group, 8 -13 HZ creates a dreamy spacey mind-space. The listener is open, passive, and receptive to new ideas. This is where we feel like we are falling asleep, but are awake, time is hazy, thoughts are fleeting, the real world is fading away...

The THETA wavelength group, 4 - 8hz, activates the creativity in the subconscious - this is the point where artists and others enter what is called a 'Flow State', where ideas and creativity come easily. Creativity is flowing, things are going well, nothing is in your way.

The DELTA wavelength group, 1/2 - 4hz is deep into the subconscious and activates the intuition and provides deep insights. The bliss of deep un-thought and simply being present, without conscious thought.

This journey ebs and flows throughout the listen, each song taking you someplace new, but in the same kind of emotional space.

And there is always that 'oh shit' moment,or the one that gives you the chills, if you let it. One or more of these tunes may generate an ASMR response (at a certain point in the song) in individuals sensitive to that sort of thing. I am, I hope it works for you as well.

Sounds sourced from discarded cassettes play a special role in this release. The sounds were harvested from cassettes sourced from thrift stores that were destined to discard them.

The best way to manifest the meditative/healing properties of this 'transelectronic' release is to listen to it from start to finish in one sitting. Your preferred 'serious listening' modality, I find headphones to be best. They allow the rest of the world to be blocked out so that the experience can focus completely without distraction.

The duration is just shy of an hour. I prefer to lie on the floor with headphones on with eyes closed and the lights out for an experience like this, but you should find the place that best suits you, which very well may be a dancefloor.
